Strengthening the systems that shape how we live, love, and lead.
Relational work is structural work.
My work begins with the system. Families, partnerships, teams, and organizations shape how people experience safety, conflict, belonging, and power. When those systems shift, people shift.
Whether I’m working with a couple navigating rupture, a family reorganizing after crisis, or a leadership team managing complexity, I approach the work through a family systems lens. Patterns matter. Structure matters. Relationship is the mechanism of change.
Connection is not a soft concept. It is an intervention.
A grounded and practical approach.
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and instructor in higher education based in Westminster. My work integrates family systems theory, emotionally focused therapy, and solution-focused approaches to help people move from disconnection toward stability and repair. These models share a common focus: strengthening emotional bonds, identifying patterns that keep people stuck, and helping relationships reorganize around safety and responsiveness.
In practice, this means helping couples and families understand the cycles that shape their conflict while also identifying practical steps forward. Emotionally Focused Therapy guides the work of rebuilding trust and secure connection, while solution-focused methods help people recognize existing strengths and build momentum toward change.
I believe therapy should be both rigorous and human. Insight matters, but insight alone is rarely enough. Lasting change happens when emotional understanding is paired with clear, relational action.
The same principles guide my clinical training and organizational work. The patterns that shape families often mirror the patterns that shape teams and institutions. When connection strengthens, systems stabilize, and people gain the freedom to move forward.
Connection, wherever you are.
In-Person
In-person sessions are offered at a private office inside The Creative Corner in historic Westminster. This space was intentionally chosen to reflect the same values that guide the work—calm, grounded, and relational.
The Creative Corner is a collaborative and creative environment that offers a unique alternative to traditional clinical settings. The space is designed to feel welcoming and human, creating an atmosphere where meaningful conversations can happen more naturally.
Located in historic Westminster, the office provides a comfortable and accessible setting for individuals, couples, and families seeking in-person therapy.

Online
Online therapy offers a flexible and accessible way to engage in meaningful, relational work without sacrificing depth or quality. Whether you are at home, in your office, or traveling, sessions are designed to feel grounded, focused, and connected.
From where I’m sitting, the most important part of therapy is not the room—it’s the relationship. Virtual sessions create space for honest conversation, emotional exploration, and real change, all within an environment where you feel most comfortable.
Telehealth sessions are available throughout Colorado, providing the same evidence-based and relational approach as in-person care.
As an out and affirming professional, my work is grounded in a commitment to equity, access, and belonging. I approach this work through a relational lens, recognizing that meaningful change happens within the systems that shape our lives. I am committed to strengthening connection as a pathway toward justice—helping individuals, families, and organizations build environments where people are seen, supported, and able to thrive.
In addition to my clinical practice in Westminster, I provide workshops, keynote presentations, and advanced trainings for clinicians, organizations, and community leaders. My speaking and training work focuses on translating relational theory into practical tools people can actually use—in therapy rooms, leadership spaces, and everyday life.
My work draws from family systems theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy, solution-focused approaches, and LGBTQ+ affirming care. Across settings, the central idea remains the same: connection is the intervention. When people feel seen, understood, and supported within their relationships, meaningful change becomes possible.
I am also engaged in research and writing focused on relational approaches to mental health, suicide prevention, and community well-being. My goal is to help bridge the gap between clinical insight, community care, and practical leadership.
Outside of my professional work, community and connection remain central in my life. I volunteer with PFLAG Denver, where I serve as Board President, supporting families and LGBTQ+ individuals as they navigate identity, belonging, and relationships. I also sing with the choir at Arvada United Methodist Church, where music and community offer another space for reflection and connection in an affirming space.
When I’m not in the therapy room or presenting at a workshop, you’ll likely find me outside with friends and family, tending the smoker on my Big Green Egg, experimenting with new recipes, and enjoying the simple rituals of cooking and gathering people around the table.
At the end of the day, whether in therapy, community work, or around a backyard grill, the goal is the same: creating spaces where people feel connected, supported, and able to grow.
Beyond the therapy room.
The brand.
Logo Description:
The logo features a bold, circular design with a heart at its center, symbolizing empathy, care, and human connection. The circle conveys unity, continuity, and inclusion, while the heart emphasizes warmth, compassion, and the central role of relationships. The clean, modern lines make the logo approachable and professional, signaling both trust and accessibility.
Statement – “Connection is the Intervention”:
This phrase captures the essence of the logo: true healing begins with human connection. The heart at the center of the circle visually represents this idea, relationships, empathy, and understanding are not just part of care; they are the intervention. Every connection, whether in therapy, community, or everyday interactions, fosters hope, resilience, and transformation. The logo and statement together communicate that care is both heartfelt and relational.
Vision:
A world where people experience meaningful connection, compassion, and support, creating spaces where healing and growth are possible.
Mission:
I foster connection as the core of intervention, through therapy, community engagement, and education, empowering individuals to build resilience, cultivate hope, and transform their well-being.
